Should I perform routine maintenance to my Sub Zero refrigerator?

Yes! We recommend routine maintenance every 3 months. Simply vacuuming your condenser will maximize performance and prolong the life of your Sub-Zero.

What does routine maintenance consist of?

Is there an ideal temperature setting for my Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer?

Based on the recommended setting provided by Sub-Zero, your refrigerator should be set at 37 degrees Fahrenheit while the freezer should be set at 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

The rubber gasket on the refrigerator side door is worn. Is this a serviceable part?

Yes, Sub-Zero offers replacement gaskets for both the refrigerator and freezer sides. These gaskets have an average lifespan of about 15 years.

My Sub-Zero refrigerator has stopped ice-production. Is there something I can do that will repair it?

Check to see if the freezer is cooling properly. If the freezer is not cooling properly, please check the condenser for dust or contamination.

Confirm that the ice-maker is in the on position (newer models will have the on control on the control panel while older models will have it on the ice-maker module).

Some Sub-Zero models have an internal water filtration system. Please ensure the filter is not restricted.

The ice-maker has an internal timer module which fails and stops the ice-making process. Please call us at (904) 802-1998 to schedule an appointment for service if you believe the ice-maker module is faulty.

There is an external electronic water valve that sends water. The lifespan of this part is 10-15 years. Please call us at (904) 802-1998 to schedule an appointment for service.

My Sub-Zero is leaking, what could be the issue?

A leaking fridge can be caused by a few things. To start, check to see if there are any visible cracks to the water lines. If there is no visible cracks, next check for ice build up.

If there is no visible ice buildup or cracked water lines, give us a call to have one of our technicians diagnose the unit and get it repaired asap.
